Today, on September 22, the PAIS Movement and Youthscape combine forces and call for a day of prayer for schools and their students in the UK. They long for God’s kingdom to come in every classroom in the country!

This is the third year that the PAIS Movement and Youthscape organize the National Day of Prayer for Schools. This year, the focus lies especially on the impact that the pandemic and the economic situation has on families and students.
Their ultimate goal is that every school in the UK will have at least one church praying for it and have the support of local Christians. Youthscape says on their website: “We long for a day where every person in the school building would know the good news of freedom, restoration, and hope. That young people would know freedom from stress, pressure, prejudice, and injustice. That there would be restoration from the lies in which they were sold, that as we come from the despair of the poverty and the pandemic, that there would be a hope that doesn’t fade.”
About 95 percent of youth in the UK do not go to church. The PAIS Movement stresses that, since 99 percent of youth goes to school, serving schools is the way to reach these youth and the way to shape the United Kingdom.
The PAIS Movement and Youthscape are encouraging people to organize prayer walks for schools and gatherings with local Christians. They themselves will be posting content, such as hourly prayer for schools videos, on their social media throughout the day. In the evening, they will organize physical meetings to pray for the schools in those areas.
