“1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has become a house of prayer today!” wrote worship leader Sean Feucht on Instagram. This past week, a special gathering took place at the White House, organized by the Faith Office of the U.S. government. More than 90 pastors and faith leaders from across the country came together for a time of collective worship, led by musician Sean Feucht. Under the leadership of Paula White, head of the Faith Office and a strong advocate for spiritual leaders, songs of praise were lifted up in the heart of American politics.
Sean Feucht via YouTube: ”We’ve got a whole room full of faith leaders and pastors. Just a few days ago, I was in the bush in Africa thousands of miles from here, with the poorest of the poor. As an ambassador to the King, nothing changed. Stepping into the White House, the same heart, the same passion, maybe got a suit and a jacket on, but my heart to see revival is no different here. That’s the thing about following Jesus. You just gotta be obedient wherever He sends you. One day it’s the bush in Africa, the next day it’s the White House. This is how He works. We’re so excited. There’s gonna be a sound lifted up in this place, believe with us, for a spiritual atmosphere to be charged full of the presence and the glory of God. What a privilege to get to worship here in the White House today. I was out prayer walking this morning just saying, Lord, may the prayers of billions of believers around the world, may we carry those, may we release those, may we sing those in Jesus’ name.
