“‘The Flood’ has begun!” Ben Fitzgerald shares on his Instagram. 150 people took to the streets of Rotterdam. At least 40 to 50 people accepted Jesus.
Ben reflects on the day: “The best thing is that two new believers were also immediately baptized in the river next to the city. One woman wasn’t sure at first, but returned 30 minutes later to give her life to Jesus and to be baptized.” Fitzgerald calls on everyone to come to Rotterdam ‘The Call Back‘: “It will be historic with massive outreaches. And with all those countries together, it will be beautiful.”
‘Flood Rotterdam’ is a three-day event preceding the big event ‘The Call Back’ in the Ahoy Arena. Today was the first day on which 150 people brought the gospel to the streets of Rotterdam. Flood Rotterdam runs from 11 to 13 July. Free tickets will be handed out so that many new believers can also experience ‘The Call Back’. Everyone is welcome to join to work together for a revival in the Netherlands.
Man on crutches
Ludwig Swinkels is the coordinator from the Netherlands. He looks back: “The turnout was very high. The Good News Truck was there with a team, many other Dutch and foreign evangelists were also there. I spoke to a guy from the US who heard about it last week and immediately booked a ticket. I also spoke to a boy who had never evangelized before and now took the plunge. Right now is a good time to start, because there is such an openness and so many other people are evangelizing as well. It’s so easy to go along in a river.
A special moment for me was when I prayed for a man on crutches. He did not get healed, but God touched him with His love. He opened his heart completely. I asked: ‘Would you like to give your life to Jesus?’ The conversation was intense, my eyes filled with tears. I felt how God cared for him. Then he gave his life to Jesus and he said: ‘This is the best day ever’. Very special!”
Today on July 12, ‘Flood Rotterdam’ will be at the Stadhuisplein. The day after, Wednesday July 13, the event will take place in the Markthal. Both days start at 14:00 and end at 18:00. Click here for more information.
