Franklin Graham drew an estimated 75,000 people to Estadio Vélez Sarsfield in Buenos Aires on 7–8 November during the evangelistic campaign Esperanza Buenos Aires. Organisers report roughly 9,000 public decisions for Jesus Christ. More than 2,500 local churches partnered in the preparation, turning the two-night gathering into one of the most significant Gospel events in Argentina in recent years.
Attendance climbed from about 30,000 on the first night to more than 43,000 on the second, despite cold weather and intermittent rain. Worship teams from across Argentina and abroad led the stadium in praise, setting the stage for Graham’s direct and uncompromising Gospel message. Preaching from Luke 19 and Luke 15, he emphasised humanity’s deep spiritual emptiness and the exclusive, saving power of Jesus Christ. “God loves you. He wants to forgive you, but you must come to His Son, Jesus Christ, in repentance and faith,” he declared, prompting thousands to step forward.
Many described the moment as life-altering. Sergio, one of the respondents, said the weight he had carried for years lifted instantly. Adriana, 30, explained that the message on sin “pierced” her heart and made her realise God was calling her back. Alejandro Nüesch, a BGEA coordinator, described the response as “a miracle from heaven” and said he was astonished by the number of people coming to Christ.
The campaign followed in the footsteps of Billy Graham’s major outreach in Buenos Aires in 1991, and its logistics were substantial. Around a thousand buses transported attendees from across the wider region. Local churches have already begun follow-up efforts, aiming to guide new believers into discipleship, community, and long-term spiritual growth.
