In Amsterdam, 1,055 people made a decision to follow Jesus during the evangelism event Super Soulwinning Saturday, organized by River Church. A team of 120 soulwinners went into the city to share the gospel and pray for people. Forty of them received practical street-evangelism training for the first time that morning. Many had never shared the gospel before.
The team spread out across the city center. Soulwinners approached individuals and groups, prayed with passersby, and proclaimed the foundations of the Christian faith. According to team leader Annelies van Walsem, three people received physical healing after prayer. In addition, more than a thousand people heard a clear explanation of the gospel for the first time.
Organizers describe “a growing openness” in the city and emphasize that the event is part of a broader movement in the Netherlands, where evangelism among youth and young adults is increasing. “The harvest is plentiful,” the organization said, referring to the words of Jesus in Matthew 9:37.
Those interested can join upcoming sessions that offer practical evangelism training and participation in street outreach. Information about the next Saturdays is available on the River Church website.
