DIMAPUR — On Wednesday, the second day of the Nagaland Revival and Healing Festival 2025 drew more than 80,000 people to the Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex in Dimapur.
The event is organised by The Gatekeepers and aims “to rekindle the spiritual identity of Christians across the state.”
The festival’s main speaker, Ankit Sajwan, described the gathering as “a historic event” and said that “the whole of India is talking about it.”
Sajwan acknowledged that some had warned him the festival might clash with the state’s cultural Hornbill Festival, and that attendance might be low. He responded: “Praise God to those who are at Hornbill and to the passionate lovers who are here.”
During his address, he stated: “I’m not here to represent Christianity, but to represent Christ.” He added that Christ is not divided by denomination.
Sajwan spoke about spiritual freedom, saying many in the crowd were praying for liberation from addiction and sickness. He preached that believers should not depend on “begging” for freedom. Instead, he quoted:
“If you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed, and I will tell you the truth — the truth indeed.”
And he emphasized that “mere belief isn’t enough; what sets you free is the truth.”
He urged the congregation to live out their faith: “You and your peers will know no depression. I urge you to be doers of the Word, not merely hearers.”
According to organisers, the three-day festival (scheduled December 2–4) began with a “praise fiesta” featuring several local music ministries. The first day attracted “thousands” of attendees.
The programme includes worship, teaching, healing services, and services intended for individuals seeking restoration. Entry is free and transport support was arranged via local auto-rickshaw drivers to help attendees reach the venue.
The organisers expect more gatherings over the next days as the festival continues.
