The headline of the Million Month website says it all. This summer, we believe in a mighty move of God in Europe through face-to-face evangelism. Ben Fitzgerald and Awakening Europe are in partnership with many ministries and churches across Europe towards an initiative called “The Million Month”.
At Revive, we had the honor of interviewing Brooke Amabile, one of the Event Coordinators at Awakening Europe and one of the Directors of the Million Month initiative. She primarily helps to build logistics and structures for this vision, which is huge一it includes nearly 30 cities, 23 nations, and many languages.
The vision of The Million Month is ‘’to unite the Body of Christ to share the Gospel through one-to-one evangelism on the streets of more than 25 different cities across Europe simultaneously, and reach 1 million unbelievers in 2 weeks.’’
With the goal of having the local body of Christ ready to hit the ground running this summer, the Awakening Team has spent the past 1.5 years building local teams in nearly 30 cities across Europe. Their focus is on evangelism, prayer, and discipleship, equipping and training the local body of Christ. Additionally, local churches are being prepared to welcome those ready to accept Christ this summer.
Matthew 9:36-38 says: ‘’When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.”’’
Brooke’s passion visibly overflowed as she said: ‘’The Lord is looking for people who will shepherd the masses with Him. We’re in a time where the Lord wants to raise up shepherds in Europe, where the body would catch the heart of the Lord and be transformed with the compassion of the Father to become labourers. Our prayer is that there would be an impartation of the Lord’s heart into His people. When that happens, we know that it will immediately overflow into a harvest.’’
The leaders that take on this initiative truly believe that the Lord is wanting to see thousands of people come into the Lord’s salvation, particularly in the summer of 2025, and they are not alone in this. Many other ministries have already partnered with them, in similar vision and heart for the upcoming summer.
Although it seems like an enormous project, Brooke and the other leaders are not swayed by facts but stand firm in faith. They do this through holding fast to the Word of God, but also the power of testimonies that display that the Lord is mightily moving all over Europe. One example is of a prayer meeting a few weeks ago, where the city of Vienna was particularly brought up to intercede for. A church member from Vienna had fifty unsaved relatives living in Vienna for whom she had already been praying for years. Soon after the meeting, this lady felt led to preach the clear gospel to one of her family members again, even though he had heard it many times already. His response was surprising in the best way: ‘’You’re right, this is for me and I want to give my life to the Lord.’’ Brooke added: ‘’The Lord is actually moving, in the streets and in homes. It’s not just someone else’s stories, it’s for each one of us.’’

Brooke said: ‘’Our fruit in Europe is their fruit! It’s gonna take the whole church to reach a continent. This is the Great Commission!’’
So what does The Million Month look like? The month kicks off with a time of preparation, followed by 14 days of outreach, with one Sabbath day break in between. Afterwards, there will be a time of follow-up. More details and practical information can be found on the website, as well as a newsletter after signing up. 1 Timothy 2:4 reads that the Lord ‘’desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth’’. This month, we get to collectively participate in seeing this come to fruition on a large scale in Europe. By saying yes to what He is doing, Brooke added, ‘’We get to bring Him the joy set before Him.’’
Brooke’s encouragement to all of us is: ‘’If we reach a million people, and even 10% give their lives to the Lord, it will be massive. So let’s come together and preach the gospel with one voice.’’
